Quality and Regulations

Quality management is an important part of our corporate policy. AE Industries places great value on high quality of its products and services, but also to the continuous improvement internal processes. These are guaranteed by skilled personnel in combination with innovative ERP solutions. Within this framework, there are a number of directives and regulations within the EU.

EU regulations for chemical elements REACH (EC) No. 1907/2006

REACH is the European chemicals legislation on Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals.

Since AE Industries itself does not manufacture or import chemical materials or substances into the EU, REACH classifies AE Industries as a so-called "downstream user". This means that the registration obligation from the REACH regulations cannot be directly applied to AE Industries as a wholesale company of small electrical automotive equipment. Nevertheless, we have informed all our suppliers about REACH and asked them to comply with all their obligations, including the registration fee, arising from the regulations.

AE Industries is constantly monitoring the substances of very high concern (SVHC), in our products. Our products do not contain Substances of Very High Concern above the threshold value declared by ECHA mentioned in Candidate List (251 substances as per latest SVHC Candidate List, updated on 27th of June 2024).

PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons)

PAH in accordance with Regulations EC 1272/2013 dated December 6, 2013 regarding the amendment to Annex XVII to Regulations (EC) No. 1907/2-6 (REACH).

Based on the verified information, we announce, to our best knowledge, our products are in compliance with the PAH Regulations and do not contain substances subject to the prohibitions listed in Annex XVII to Regulations (EC) No. 1907/2-6.

EU regulations for the restriction of hazardous substances RoHS (EC) no. 2011/65 / EU

The RoHS (Restriction of use of certain Hazardous Substances) is a European directive that restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. AE Industries considers it important to comply with the RoHS directive and the latest update (EU) 2015/863. The substances within the directive may only occur in electrical and electronic equipment if they remain below the stated maximum concentration (weight percentage) of the homogeneous material as stated below:

• Lead (0.1%)
• Mercury (0.1%)
• Cadmium (0.01%)
• Hexavalent Chrome (0.1%)
• Polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) (0.1%)
• Polybrominated biphenylenethers (PBDEs) (0.1%)
• Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (0.1%)
• Butyl benzyl phthalate (GDP) (0.1%)
• Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) (0.1%)
• Diisolutyl phthalate (DIBP) (0.1%)

AE Industries only processes products of which its suppliers declare that they comply with RoHS guidelines insofar as they can verify this.
